terms

Agreement overview

These terms govern your use of the therealcheftig insurance website at therealcheftig.com and any related digital tools we provide for quoting, enrollment support, and policy servicing. By browsing the site, submitting a form, or downloading materials, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

The site offers educational content about life, home, auto, health, and business insurance. It is not a substitute for the policy contract issued by your carrier. When language on this site differs from your declarations page or policy jacket, the carrier document controls.

We may update these terms to reflect new products, regulatory guidance, or security requirements. The effective date at the top of this page changes when revisions post. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Agency role and licensing

therealcheftig insurance operates as an insurance agency, not as an insurer. We solicit, negotiate, and service policies on behalf of partner carriers that actually underwrite risk and pay covered claims. Our advisors are licensed for the lines they discuss with you, and licensing information is available upon request.

We owe you duties of reasonable care, honesty, and compliance with applicable insurance regulations. We do not guarantee that any carrier will approve an application, bind coverage at a quoted premium, or renew a policy at any particular price.

Carrier appointments may change. If a carrier withdraws from a line of business, we will notify affected clients and propose alternative markets when available.

Quotes, illustrations, and applications

Premium examples and tables on this site are illustrative unless labeled as a firm quote tied to your application. Quotes depend on underwriting factors such as age, health, driving history, property condition, payroll class codes, and prior claims.

Submitting a quote form does not bind coverage. Binding occurs only after you accept a formal offer, pay required premium or authorize billing, and receive confirmation from the carrier or authorized binding authority.

You must provide accurate information on applications. Material misstatements can void coverage or reduce claim payments. We rely on the information you supply when presenting options to underwriters.

Life and health specific terms

Life illustrations show non-guaranteed elements only where permitted and labeled. Dividends, interest credits, and subaccount performance are not promises of future results. Health plan summaries describe networks and cost sharing as of the plan year referenced; carriers may amend formularies or provider directories during the year with notice rules defined in your contract.

Medical underwriting may require exams, labs, or attending physician statements. Temporary coverage, if offered, ends when the carrier issues a final decision or when the temporary period expires, whichever comes first.

Enrollment windows for health coverage follow plan rules and qualifying life event standards. Missing a deadline may limit your options until the next open enrollment unless an exception applies.

Property, auto, and business lines

Home and commercial property quotes use rebuild estimates, class codes, and security features you report. Inspections may adjust premiums or require mitigation before binding. Auto rates depend on garaging territory, usage, driver records, and vehicle types.

Business policies may require evidence of prior coverage, loss runs, and safety programs. Certificates of insurance are issued based on policy data at the time of request; we are not responsible for third-party rejection of certificate wording if your limits or endorsements do not match contract requirements.

Flood, earthquake, and other catastrophic perils may require separate policies or endorsements. We will identify common exclusions during quoting when information is available.

Claims and service requests

Report claims to us and to your carrier as your policy requires. Prompt notice helps preserve coverage defenses and evidence. We assist with documentation but do not adjust claims on behalf of carriers. Claim decisions rest with the insurer subject to policy language and law.

Service requests such as endorsements, mortgagee updates, or driver changes are processed as quickly as operational systems allow. Some changes require inspection or additional premium before taking effect.

Fees, commissions, and payment

Carriers pay commissions to the agency for policies we place. Some services may carry documented fees disclosed before you agree. Premium payments are owed to carriers or their billing partners according to payment plans selected at enrollment.

Failed payments can lapse coverage. We will attempt to notify you of cancellation warnings carriers send, but you remain responsible for maintaining active payment methods on file with the billing entity.

Website use and acceptable conduct

You may not scrape the site, probe security controls, upload malware, or use automated tools to harvest data without written permission. You may not misrepresent your identity when requesting quotes or impersonate another policyholder.

Content on the site is protected by copyright. You may print pages for personal reference related to your insurance planning, but you may not republish materials for commercial training without consent.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site is provided as is. We disclaim warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose to the extent allowed by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from site use, quote delays, or carrier actions beyond our reasonable control.

Our aggregate liability related to site use is limited to the amount you paid us directly for agency services in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, except where law prohibits such limits.

Privacy and communications

Our privacy policy describes how we collect and use personal information, including health and financial details submitted for underwriting. Marketing email follows subscription preferences and unsubscribe tools on the site.

You consent to electronic communications for servicing when you provide an email address or mobile number for policy documents, subject to carrier capabilities and legal requirements.

Dispute resolution

We prefer to resolve concerns through direct conversation with your advisor and compliance staff. If a dispute persists, governing law and venue provisions in your policy or separate written agreement with the agency will apply where stated.

Nothing in these terms prevents you from filing complaints with insurance departments or other regulators authorized to receive them.

Contact

Questions about these terms may be sent to care@therealcheftig.com. Include your name, policy number if applicable, and a description of the issue so we can route your message to the correct team.

Printed copies of these terms are available upon request for clients who prefer paper records alongside policy jackets.

Intellectual property of carriers

Policy forms, endorsements, and rate manuals belong to their respective insurers. We display excerpts for education with permission or under fair use for client explanation. You may not reproduce carrier proprietary forms for resale or training outside your organization without insurer consent.

Third-party links

Our site may link to carrier payment portals, regulator resources, or safety organizations. Those sites operate under their own terms. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices when you leave therealcheftig.com.

Accessibility

We aim to present insurance information in readable layouts and support assistive technologies common in modern browsers. If you encounter a barrier accessing quote tools or documents, notify us so we can provide an alternative format when feasible.

Survival

Sections addressing disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law, and dispute resolution survive termination of your use of the site or expiration of policies we service, to the extent needed to resolve outstanding obligations.
